Boot Camp CO 359 Michael J. Brigande EN1 Company Commander Co. 359 November 1955 (#202)  This is a later photo after he was promoted to CPO.   A tough leader during boot camp, but turned out to be a good friend to us all.  His favorite expression and admonishment to us every day was  ". . .you better be for learnin'. . ."!   On one of his leaves, he came to visit my family while I was in Pearl Harbor HI.  Taken from a bronze marker at burial site of Michael J. Brigande ENCM, U.S. Navy. He served in World War II and the Korean War. Born March 13, 1923, Died November 1, 1985.   Burial is in Section 5, Lot 116 at St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren, RI.   I visited his grave site and took this photo on June 24, 2010.  The members of Company 359 salute CPO Michael J. Brigande ENCM and his family!
