Band Photography: Barb Wire Dolls : Fueled by a demand for political, social, and musical change, a new punk rock revolution is exploding onto the global music scene. Barb Wire Dolls, a female-fronted band that has been called "the most important punk band since the Sex Pistols" and "the hottest punk band since the Ramones" is leading the charge. Inspired by the first wave of punk music that came from such artists as the Ramones, Sex Pistols, and The Clash, and the "Do-It-Yourself" punk ethic of California's Black Flag and Dead Kennedy's, Barb Wire Dolls are waking up audiences with their intense energizing live shows and shaking up the music industry with their critically acclaimed debut - the self-released vinyl album SLIT. Recorded "live in one take " in two nights in Chicago by indie mastermind Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Stooges), SLIT is blowing up internationally and rapidly generating new fans across all generations of punk, grunge, and hard rockers. With magazine reviews like "The best punk record since Nirvana's "Bleach" and "A pure massive H-bomb, a nuclear sound wave, probably the best punk album of the last two decades", the time is ripe for a big musical takeover.
