Royal Botanical Gardens, May 2 2009 : Martin, Suzanne, Marion, Mel, and I went to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington Ontario today. The intention was to see trees in bloom, but we miss timed things by a week or three and very little was blooming. However, there were a lot of cooperative birds and small wildlife critters there to keep us amused. They were very friendly and came right up for a visit. For a time, we were followed by a small flock of chickadees who where determined to eat the seeds we (forgot) to bring with us. Luck was not with them! The photog community was well in evidence - I cannot remember the last time I have seen so many people in one spot with so much nice camera equipment. Hopefully, they had as much fun as we did. To try something different, I added a bit of vignetting to some of these photos. I am currently using a trial of Capture One and am liking it (but not as much as Adobe Lightroom). Soon, I shall have to break down and buy Lightroom...

Every photo in this gallery was taken using an Olympus E-520 dslr and a ZD 70-300mm f4-5.6 lens.
