![Raptor on the Side of the Road : On November 25, 2008, I was heading out to take care of some errands before Thanksgiving when I saw a large bird on the side of the road about half a block from my house. I thought it might be in distress, so I turned around and came back (grabbing my camera before leaving the car, of course). Well, the bird was definitely not in distress... He was perched on top of a squirrel! I started snapping shots, trying to get closer and closer. I was able to get within about ten feet before I thought I would scare him and he would fly away, so I backed off. Here are a few of the better shots.
