This is a very famous street for Brazilian New Yorkers. It is affectionately called "Brazil Street" and is located in the heart of "Little Brazil" at 46th street and 6th avenue. The annual festival, started in 1984, is actually a giant street fair and is known as the largest Brazilian celebration outside of Brazil.

The Moose Cruise: A Three Hour Photographic Tour Around Manhattan : We joined master photographer Moose Petersen as he took command of a Circle Line Ship for a complete cruise around the isle of Manhattan. We were up close to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island; we were able to shoot from a unique vantage point beneath the legendary bridges such as the Brooklyn, Manhattan, Williamsburg and the George Washington Bridge and more. It can be said that Moose is first and foremost a nature shooter, so he was pleased to sail on the ship along the majestic Palisades on the Hudson. Moose was on the ship board public address system to point out key photo ops as well as to mingle with us spreading his wisdom. What a beautiful day to be out with a camera!

Coney Island : Coney Island Photo Walk with Harvey Stein.....Excerpt from Harvey Stein’s book Coney Island: “Coney Island is different from other amusements parks I know. It’s multicultural, with people of all shapes, sizes, colors, languages, and behaviors. Absent is the artificiality of American theme parks. There are no forced enjoyments or phony facades. Coney Island is grimy and authentic, honest and straightforward. It hits you in the face with full force. And it stays in my mind long after I’ve let, like a movie or song that I can’t seem to get out of my head. The only illusion is the easy life it seems to promise with its eternal sun, sand and ocean. It’s where you bring yourself fully into play, rather than being passively manipulated. It’s a place where it’s all up to you, where you can see the world as it really is and so know yourself as you really are-or ought to be.”
