To get from Masterton to Foxton you have to cross the Tararua ranges that divide the North Island at this point. Masterton is on the east and Foxton on the west.
This road is part of the "Track", a shortcut through the hills. I always like the view just at this point, so I took a photo through the car window just after we crested a hill and headed down.
