Panoramic > popular all-time > Denali, aka Mt McKinley, shot taken while on sabbatical in 2006, at about 5:30 AM. It never really did get dark there in late June.
Panoramic > popular all-time > Aialik Glacier, Seward, Alaska, taken while on sabbatical in 2006. The face of this glacier is about a half-mile across. A larger view will show a boat between us and the ice, giving a little scale. The guide shut off the boat engine and we sat watching and listening for about half an hour, and the glacier put on quite a show for us. It calved several times, and was continuously making glacier-noises for our entertainment.
