No Justice No Peace Rally : The Virginia Legislative Black Caucus held a "No Justice, No Peace"  rally on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Bell Tower on the State Capital grounds.  The rally was led my Chair Senator Mamie E. Locke.  The rally addressed concerns about the recent redistricting that Repulicans voted on while Sen. Henry Marsh was out of town attending the 2013 Presidential Inauguration.

2013 Inaugural Parade : There were plenty of sites and crowds at the 2013 Inaugural Parade.  The parade started  began an hours, at the Capitol and moved along Pennsylvania Ave. to the White House.  My photos are a reflection of  of the parade after leaving the Metro Center and around my media post of 10th Ave. & Pennsylvania Ave.  It was close to this location that the President and the First Lady got out of their limousine and walked a few blocks.  The parade continued passed sunset and at this point lost of light is not a photographer's best friend.

Virginia Senate Honors Gymnast Gabby Douglas : The Virginia Senate recognized Olympic Gold Medalist, Gabrielle Douglas on Tuesday, February 12, 2012. Sen. L. Louise Lucas introduced Ms. Douglas on the Senate Floor, where Gabby accepted a resolution commending her for her performance at the 2012 London Olympics.  Ms. Douglas was accompanied by her Mother and sisters.   There were several guest in the Senate Chamber, including Washington Redskins player, DeAngelo Hall.
