Small jumping spider hunting for prays on the backside of a tree leaf. Sometimes, it is worth to take the time to slow down and look at the smaller inhabitants of the redwoods.

Yellow mushrooms and dead sequoia
This picture was taken at the Big Basin Redwood State Park, Northern California, in early March. The small (about 1 cm) mushrooms are growing on a decaying sequoia log.
