Sunset on Moon Mountain Road. Often it seems like some of the best views are on private property, so here I was trespassing on some vineyards - not without reprimand from the land owner this time.
The Long Pier on Lake Tahoe. A frigid night had left frost on the wood of this pier making it pretty slick to walk on. When I got to the end of the pier I was surprised to see that the water was still only maybe 5 feet deep. You can see right to the bottom since the water here is crystal clear.

The Ruins of San Francisco.  The Sutro Baths on the northwest corner of San Francisco, next to Lands End park, are the only nearby ruins that I know about. There were 7 indoor swimming pools here for public use from 1896 until 1966 - amazing!

First rays of light on Lake Tahoe.  The frost on the pier will eventually melt by the warmth of the morning's sun but the snow will remain through another cold and crisp day.
