Town Lake on ice - 1/17/2007 : Taken around Town Lake in Austin, Texas. A "snow day" from work turned into an afternoon hike around Town Lake to catalog just how "snowed in" we actually were. Frozen water was actually detected! I brought my tripod and took a lot of HDRs on this one. Too many, actually, as I ended up taking almost nine months to put this album up.

Lake Travis - 2/17/2007 : Taken on Lime Creek Rd. in Travis County, Texas. This is a fun motorcycle road out west past 2222 in Austin. It's also got a great view of Lake Travis. These shots are particularly interesting because the water level is so low. Four months after I took these photos, this area experienced a "100yr flood" and now the lake is overfull. I look forward to going back and seeing what it looks like now. All of these shots are HDR. I had a lot of trouble with the colors on these. Going to have to start manually setting white balance. On the other hand, maybe there is some benefit in leveling the pictures before HDRing them. I've never tried it, but I'm gonna next time this happens!
