"Is He Dead?" 2nd Dress - Pubicity/Archival Shots :

A time to live. A time to fake your own death.

Millet is a brilliant but impoverished painter, and he’s a man with a singular problem: no one will pay good money for his paintings while he’s still alive. When his friends persuade him that the secret to success lies in convincing the world he’s dead, Millet hatches a scheme which could make him rich, famous, and able to marry the girl of his dreams—if only he didn’t have to be a corpse to do it!

These photos are from the second dress rehearsal on: 10/26/2009. This shoot was scheduled so that the Ogden paper could have photos to run. Please note that any photos used in any form of media must be accompanied by proper credits, including the names of all cast members in the image as well as the name of the photographer.

"The Diviners" (10/1/09 photos) : October 1, 2009 - Opening Night - Performing Arts Center, Murrieta Valley HS, Murrieta, CA - The Diviners is set in a 1930’s Depression-Era small, highly religious town known as Zion, Indiana. The play is centered around Buddy Layman, a local boy whose mother died while keeping him from drowning in a river. The trauma as a result of the event has left the boy with a simple but curious mind, and both an uncanny gift for sensing water, as well as a crippling fear of it. He refuses to go anywhere near water, and thus has not washed in years, nor been baptized.

When C.C Showers--a former preacher jaded by the way organized religion has become more of a show than about a true connection with God--comes to town searching simply for work, everyone immediately views him as Buddy’s savior, the one who will finally be able to heal Buddy and bring him to the Lord. Soon, Buddy and C.C. become connected on a deeply profound level as C.C. tries to help the boy through his pain and physical condition. Along the way, he discovers that by helping heal Buddy, he is also helping heal the bitterness in his heart.

Somethings, however, do not always go according to plan.

The Diviners’ message is one of faith. Not all things can be understood or changed or seen or explained, but that does not mean that they are not real. One must accept that which they are given, what they are meant to do and what is meant for them, because it is hardly ever clearly explained, and is almost always fleeting. “Turn the earth to the earth like a child to his mother . . . We turn to each other and call it a blessin’.”

"Don't Drink the Water" 5/30/09 (photos) : May 30, 2009 - Room 906, Murrieta Valley H.S., Murrieta, California - "Don't Drink the Water" is a play written in 1966 by Woody Allen. The farce, a cascade of comedy and a big hit on Broadway, takes place inside an American Embassy behind the Iron Curtain.

Returning from a European tour, Newark, New Jersey, caterer Walter Hollander, wife Marion, and daughter Susan, accidentally wander into a restricted area and take photos for Walter's new hobby of photography and are caught and ensued by Krojack, the head of the secret police, who suspects espionage and attempts to arrest them. The tourists, however, are granted asylum in the American Embassy, temporarily supervised by Axel Magee, son of the ambassador. There the Hollanders meet mad Father Drobney, who for six years has enjoyed sanctuary within the embassy's confines.

Although the United States attempts to rescue the family by repatriating Vulgarian agent Grey Fox, he commits suicide before an exchange can be negotiated. When middle-aged student agitators picket and bomb the embassy, Magee accidentally thinks up an escape plan that Susan forces him to share with the rest of the family. The Hollanders dress up as dignitaries and attempt an escape when the escape fails, Walter and Marion don the robes of a visiting sultan and his harem and rush out of the embassy. Susan happily bids her parents farewell and secures diplomatic immunity by marrying Magee.
