Snow : Blizzard, December 27, 2010. Not being intrepid I tried to get out to picture the actual blizzard but was blown back inside. So we have one weather picture. The next morning I got out to capture untrammeled snow and the day after that life resumed. I walked up to 23rd Street on the east side from my west side abode in TriBeCa. Part of this gallery is a love of my camera and part of it is a love of the city. I have numerous city shots but they are always "walking" shots and I have failed to organize them. This is a collection done together.

Stone Sculptures : I drove by and caught these admiring the work of John Felice Ceprano, who has one of the best jobs in the world creating stone sculptures at Remic Rapids on the Ottawa River. Great to see the NCC funding this annually!
Spent a little time before an advancing storm admiring the work of John Felice Ceprano, who has one of the best jobs in the world...creating stone sculptures at Remic Rapids on the Ottawa River. John balances each stone sculpture (no glue!) and works at this everyday, adding and repairing and redesigning. Great to see the NCC funding this annually!

World of bridges : I have always been fascinated by bridge structures, probably since I was a kid living close to the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor, across from Detroit. My dad would take me down to the river and I remember vividly watching the Great Lakes ships pass under the bridge while the hum of trucks and cars passed overhead. When I worked at the Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel in London, Ontario, I got to work on wind studies of some wonderful bridges like the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in Tampa among others. Now living in Ottawa, there are bridges everywhere, and I look forward to visiting them as often as I can. Enjoy! Featured bridges here:
-Laurier Bridge and Alexandra Bridge In Ottawa, Ontario
-Seaway International Bridge in Cornwall Ontario
-Tour Eiffel Bridge (Montcalm Street Bridge) in Gatineau, Quebec, (which contains a piece of the real Eiffel Tower in its span!)
-King Street Bridge in Waterloo, Ontario

More to come. Contact me at photowagon@gmail.com if you would any of these images for commercial purposes.
