Egrets and Cranes : On a trip to the southwest, we saw these wonderful white birds.  We are told that we photographed both the Snowy Egret and the Great Egret.  On another trip near Madison, WI we came across Sand Hill Cranes.

Geese : We see the Snow Geese and Canadian Geese in the Spring and Fall in our area.  Some of the other geese (American Buff, etc.) we have found on trips to other parts of this country.

Great Blue Heron : Every day in the summer a Great Blue Heron flys into the bay near our home.  It stands near the same rock and fishes.  The small children nicknamed him,"Oscar".

Minnesota Loons : The Minnesota state bird is the Common Loon.  It is a bird that is suited better to water than to land.  We find them whenever we go for a boat ride.
