Mountain Goat Family, Mount Evans Colorado I spent several hours over two days photographing mountain goats at the top of Mount Evans. On the second day, I observed this nanny and three kids maintaining pretty close proximity to each other. The kids would wander away briefly, but always came back to the nanny. I've read that it's pretty rare for a mountain goat nanny to have three kids at once, and probably rarer still to raise them through a full year. If this really is a family of three kid yearlings, I'm thrilled to have observed and photographed them.
