Northern Saw-whet Owl, Aegolius acadicus This owl "was" on my wish list for birds to see. After many failed attempts to spot one, I finally got lucky, someone pointed out this small owl tucked away in a pine tree. It was sleeping, but because many people sought to catch a glimpse of this cute owl, it woke up. I happened to lock eyes with it and was memorized by its gaze. It took to eating a quick rodent snack and went back to sleep. Amazing!
