During winter, when the sky is usually overcast, colors are drab and lifeless.  When the sun does come out, colors pop.  The clear blue sky is reflected in the snow.  The early morning sun touches everything in its path with a warm, yellow glow.  All these elements compete for our attention if only we would stop to look.

Although the image was captured in late afternoon, on an overcast day, some fairly radical adjustments in Photoshop, turned it into a pseudo moonscape.
