San Francisco Zoo - Gorillas and Baby "Hasani" : "Hasani", a baby Western Lowland Gorilla, will be 10 months old on the 8th of October. He runs around everywhere now. He likes climbing, and taking back rides. He puts everything in his mouth, plays with the adults, and loves to pile dirt on his head. The first photos are the most current, and then the photos go back in time through June 2009. "Bawang" is the surrogate mother to Hasani, and is very attentive and caring. Having already raised three babies of her own, she is an experienced mother. Auntie "Zura" is also very interested in little Hasani, and plays with him, taking him for rides. Hasani was abandoned by his natural mother, but is doing well under the care of the keepers and Bawang. Hasani has been introduced to the rest of the group, and now stays with them all day. I will update Hasani photos periodically, so check back and see him grow!

WILD ANIMAL PARK'S LION CAMP : Two cubs, Abena and Bakari, were born on May 16, 2006 and went on public display on August 4, 2006. Their mother is Oshana and father is Izu.
The other female in the pride, Mina, gave birth to three cubs on 7/20/2006 and they went on public display on 11/2/06.

During November 2007 both Oshana and Mina give birth to cubs. Oshana gave birth to 4 cubs, 2 females and 2 males and Mina gave birth to 3 cubs, 2 females and 1 male. All seven of the cubs along with their mothers went on public display 1/24/2008.
