animals > popular all-time > 12-4-09 This was one of our favorite things we did. On Isla Roatan, you could take this excursion which included playing with the monkeys. These white-faced monkeys were loose and free for the most part, and you strode into the sanctuary and they pounced on you and climbed all over you, stole your glasses, looked through your pockets, looked for goodies in your hair...it was hilarious! I just couldn't help snapping away at these guys and I got some fun shots. This was my favorite of the bunch. If any of you ever get a chance to do this DON'T PASS IT UP! It was totally worth it, the experience was a blast. Almost as much fun as getting kissed by the dolphin. :-) My link today is a new artist for me. animals > popular all-time > 12-3-09 This shot is sort of for LadyKate. She posted a wing shot, which I had ALMOST done for yesterday's daily. So instead I post it today in honor of my friend and yours, our own LadyKate! This is a closeup wing shot of another macaw (not the one you saw for yesterday's). The colors on these guys is what draws me -- I love color, and the flamboyance of these birds very much appeals to me.
