Landscapes
The grand show is eternal. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on seas and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.

~ Park Butte ~
This a view of Park Butte and Russell Lake in the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness. I camped solo here for 3 days under clear skies and this full moon.
The light is changing above Crater Lake in Oregon. Snow crunches under my feet as I wait for the sunrise to ignite the fluted surface of the lake that touch the surrounding cliffs that reach almost two thousand feet above the lake. I can feel the icy bite of the wind against my face.

The scene before me has not changed since the last Millennia. I am alone gazing upon one of Oregon's greatest crown jewels. I feel spiritually enlightened witnessing the spectacle before me. I capture these moments to share extraodinary places through my camera.
~ Mt. Adams ~
This was taken two nights before the Blue Moon of August 31, 2012. It was crisp, clear, and cloudless, without any wind. I photographed this scene next to Takhlakh Lake. No need for a headlamp, it was one of those nights that didn’t require any artificial light to walk back to camp.
~ North Face ~
Mt. Jefferson towers 4,615 feet above Russell Lake. This image was taken at sunrise looking toward the north face in late October.
~ Jawbone Flats ~
Located in the heart of an old-growth forest that dates back between 500 and 1,000 years old, this long forgotten mining camp was once a thriving worksite that produced lead, zinc, copper and silver for the Shiny Rock Mining Company of Oregon.

Llao Rock pushes up through the clouds of Crater Lake.
~ Pinnacle of Oregon ~
In the Central Cascades of Oregon - this is one of several unique pinnacles that dominates the skyline, with Mt. Hood to the north, and the Three Sisters to the south, Mt. Jefferson is the second highest mountain with a height of 10,475 feet. I captured this image of the south face from the McKenzie Pass.
~ Pamelia Lake ~
Mt. Jefferson Wilderness, Oregon.
In the summer months Pamelia Lake recedes exposing these large old-growth logs. This small tree growing at the end of this decaying log gets nutrition from the carbon-rich organic matter found within fallen timber.
