Bart Vannieuwenhuyse > Rhododendron leafhopper (Graphocephala fennahi) - rhododendron cicade - an example of an exotic species that has done really well in its new environment. This leafhopper arrived in Europe in the 1930's and has established itself where ever rhodo's are found. More info on this little bug at this site

Bart Vannieuwenhuyse > Common Darter (Sympetrum striolatum) - bruinrode heidelibel - one of the most common darters. Here with a Graphocephala victim. These leafhoppers were really very abundant and pity for this one, apperently not fast enough for the darter

Bart Vannieuwenhuyse > Amethyst Deceiver (Laccaria amethystea) - rodekoolzwam - this one with a bit of a weird head. These beautifully colored fungi are quite commom. Although this species is listed as edible, one should be really careful. There are some poisonous species that look like the deceiver and they are also know to concentrate heavy metals from the environment...so, nice to look at, not to eat
