"SUNFLOWERS" Theme
"Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The sunflower chair backs (yes, those are chair backs and not placemats) were my inspiration to set the stage for a spring table setting that's warm and inviting. I paired the golden yellow with its complementary color, green, for a table setting that beckons everyone to gather around. Next, I tied in dishes and ceramic fruit (a lemon and a pear) to bring out the fresh seasonal feel of the sunflowers. After that, I reused the silver napkin rings, green glasses, and the Easter basket (centerpiece for our April table setting), to anchor the center of the table. Finally, after the meal, we sat and sipped..........on fresh, homemade lemonade, of course:).
