"MEMPHIS IN MAY" 2010
Memphis, TN

Tour sites included: The Peabody (to see the duck march), The National Civil Rights Museum (no photography allowed), Beale Street, Autozone Park (home of the Memphis Redbirds, a minor league baseball team), and a drive-by of Graceland. An expansion project in 2001 added the Young and Morrow Building to the National Civil Rights Museum, the latter being a former rooming house at 418 South Main Street from which the shots were fired that killed King. After touring Beale Street and AutoZone Park, it was off to honor civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a man whose dream of equality changed America, and whose life continues to be a lesson in faith and courage. Photos taken with my Canon Powershot digital camera.
