Sold my ticket to Oaks this year and didn't go to the Derby, either. Here's some stuff from the day before at the track. Later that night we were treated to a reunion gig (3 years) of a band that became a favorite of mine in Baton Rouge: Love Jones. Turns out they're Louisville natives. The concert was held at an airport hangar, and it just so happened that the Goodyear Blimp (in town to cover Derby) happened to be tethered a couple of hundred feet away - and completely unguarded. We helped ourselves with permission to come aboard.
