More HDR work. This was my first field trial of using DSLR Remote Pro to bypass the 3-exposure bracket limit in the camera firmware. It was set to take as many pictures as it needed to capture the entire dynamic range. This almost always resulted in five shots.
I learned that if you switch lenses while the camera is on and connected to the program, it will reset the size of the pictures saved from large/fine to small/normal. I didn't even notice until about halfway through. I lost ~10 sets of pictures to that error.
I'm glad I waited a month to process these images; Photomatix has quite a steep learning curve and it took me awhile to figure out how to get the results I was looking for.
Looking west past Point Bonita. I can't even say how many times I've attempted and failed this shot. I'm still not completely happy with this version. This was one of the few pictures that was taken at half resolution that I kept.
