dannypam > In 2006 the year began by breaking ground for our first brick and mortar building. The Irvin Spitler Library.
dannypam > After receiving funding for this project from my father, Irvin Spitler, we broke ground and began the foundation.
dannypam > While our other buildings had been of wood and thatch with dirt floors. This building would feature rebar, cement and bricks.
dannypam > Workers put together a solid foundation.
dannypam > By the time Pam and and I arrived in mid-February the walls were up.
dannypam > And the interior was taking shape.
dannypam > In February we arrived for our second visit to Cambodia and our first to see the Spitler School. We were welcomed at the airport for Sarin's wife and daughter and two of our school's young teachers.
dannypam > When we arrived at the school Pam and I were overwhelmed by the welcome from the villagers of Ang Chagn Chass.
dannypam > We toured the projects and snapped lots of photographs. Most of these are featured in another album entitled "Our Visit to the Spitler School."
