2008-07-16 Magnifying Glass Macro
I'm interested in trying some macro photography, but I still only have one lens for my camera - the Nikkor 18-200VR. So tonight I taped a magnifying glass onto the end of the lens and went out into my front yard and spent some time laying in the grass snapping photos.
The contraption vignettes, flares horribly, and is only really close to in focus at the center of the frame - but it does get close to 1-to-1 magnification. So I decided to embrace the imperfections as artistic expression.
