You can the cardboard template I used to make sure the bend was aligned with the full sized curve shown on the drawing.
The most challenging part was making sure the longerons did not have a twist in them and that they laid flat on the table.
Here you can see an example of the vise being held in this temporary location using a large C clamp.
The aft end of the longeron where it will meet up with the F-712 bulkhead.
This is the set up I used to put the downward bend in the longeron. In order to put in a good sharp bend you need to have "steel" edge at the site of the bend as opposed to a softer material such a piece of wood. I actually used a large steel hinge placed on a 2X4 on the bottom of the bend and a back rivet plate on the top and had it clamped together with a large C clamp.
Here you can see the door hinge. FWIW, the steel plate that the door hinge is made out of is about a quarter of an inch thick.
On the drawing it calls for the bend to be 2 and 3/4 inches down (I think it's 2 and 3/4 inches). Anyway, I used a piece of aluminum angle sitting on the table top as a reference point for making this measurement. The next few photos were meant to help illustrate my techniques, but a few of them are blurry.
