 > St. Joseph Hall (the old wooden building) did not survive Katrina. It was a complete structural loss.
 > Another photo of the St. Joseph Hall and outdoor sitting area damage from Hurricane Katrina. It will cost approximately $500,000 to replace the lost classroom space at current new construction rates.
 > Another view of the debris and damage surrounding St. Joseph Hall just prior to it being torn down due to unrecoverable damage. The walkway to the Our Lady of the Woods shrine is to the right of the photo (with the shrine at the far end of the walkway). As you can see, the statue of Our Lady was not damaged in storm. It appears that some new trees are needed to line the walkway to the shrine. At the time it was erected in 1858, the shrine was nestled in deep woods. More history about the Our Lady of the Woods shrine can be viewed under the OLA website webpage "School History".
