The Buffalo Soldiers of the Arizona Territory - Ladies and Gentlemen of the Regiment participate Monday in the Mesa's Martin Luther King Jr., parade and festival.
Hundreds in Mesa celebrated Rev. Martin Luther King Jr's birthday at an annual festival and parade. Everyone knows how Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was killed. But more remember King for how he lived, and although he died more than 40 years ago, time has not changed the importance of his powerful message. The more than half mile long parade, with 50 entries including marching bands, Mesa police and fire departments, Buffalo Soldiers of the Arizona Territory - Ladies and Gentlemen of the Regiment "Keeping the History Alive", wearing their AUTHENTIC UNIFORMS and PERIOD TIME ERA DRESSES, 1866 - 1902.
