Join Old Tucson for Wild West Days - a Celebration of Old West History, Culture and Heritage! This three-day festival will center on "Tombstone" (the movie), which was filmed at Old Tucson and its sister film location, Mescal.

On Saturday, April 2nd, the Buffalo Soldiers of the Arizona Territory and Ladies and Gentlemen of the Regiment based in Mesa, AZ also will provide Presentations on 'Buffalo Soldier' history, Post and Retire Colors and be onsite to interact with guests and discuss the contribution of the Buffalo Soldiers to local Arizona history.


Tombstone The Movie and Actors:(Peter Sherayko, Reggie Byrum, Jeff AND Anthony Casanova, Dennis Moore the movie 'Dillion').
Peter Sherayko, the actor who protrayed Texas Jack in the film "Tombstone," also provided the firearms and the Buckaroos who make up many of the Cowboys in the film through his company, Caravan West. He researched the numerous firearms invented during the 1870s and 1880s with their unique variations to bring the period to life in an accurate way. He will exhibit and discuss the real historic western guns, gear and other "neat" stuff either used in the film "Tombstone" or appropriate to Tombstone Arizona Territory. His book, "Tombstone - The Guns and Gear."

A superstar in its own right, Old Tucson Studios has hosted over 300 film and television productions since 1939 including Western film classics such as "Rio Bravo", "The Outlaw Josey Wales", and "Tombstone". John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Elizabeth Taylor and Kurt Russell are just a few of the legends who have walked these fabled streets playing the unforgettable roles that are etched in our minds and hearts forever.
