Nine riders met in Vivary Park at 10.00 AM The 'gentle' ride, lead by Jeff Davey, was loosely themed on what makes Taunton 'tick' past and present and took us through Taunton streets, cycle ways, canal footpaths and the open road, with a lunchtime stop at Hestercombe House. Five riders continued in the afternoon to complete the 30 mile circuit

We couldn't enter so no pictures....just the sign board at the entrance :-)
Our next stop was the newly refurbished foot bridge over the river Tone at Ham. Now we are seven! ...Jeff's behind the camera.

The Suspension bridge that leads to the island that was once the domaine of the Harbour Master at Ham. Boats used to bring coal up the river from the coast

We rejoined the canal towpath at Creech and headed back towards town .......

Here two more riders left the group.The remaining five head off, via Upper Cheddon, for Hestercombe House and lunch
