Coy petals teasingly open just enough to intrigue passersby and hypnotize those willing to take the time to gaze at this incredible work of art. Never underestimate the power of a single color or, better yet, two striking colors that definitely compliment each other. The effect is mesmerizing as you try rationalizing the inordinate amount of time you've spent gazing at and contemplating that which is before you. Sheepishly you look around to see if anyone has seen the glow on your face as you race to quickly compose yourself and try to keep from smiling like a schoolgirl who's just realized for the first time that she's fallen head over heels for the guy she's been studiously trying to ignore since their first day together in kindergarten." - Rick Orrell

If you look closely you can see them growing, millimeter by millimeter. If you listen closely you can hear them singing, chorus after chorus. If you breathe deeply you can smell their fragrance, rich but subtle. If you gently touch their fragile petals, you will feel the carpet of heaven. Rick Orrell (Ricardo38) > April 14, '08 - "Too Fast" Time is going by too fast, like someone has hit the fast forward button by mistake. Where did the little boy go that I used to sing to sleep at night? What happened to the toddler I used to feed Cheerios in the mornings? Don't get me wrong, I love my life and God has blessed me so much, but I've got to find a way to slow things down a little bit. I'm afraid I'll go to sleep tonight and wake up tomorrow to find him out on his own, making his own way, living his own life, making his own decisions........... but, wait, isn't that what he was put on this earth to do? And isn't it my job to help prepare him for that future? I'm glad I got to hug him today and remind him how much his Daddy loves him! Hopefully I'll make wise use of the time I have with him........
