Not a crash site, but a retired NASA chase plane. I been eyeballing this Hornet for a few years just off the 14 in Lancaster. Finally stopped to get some photos of it. The plane is a McDonnell Douglas F/A-18A, #161214, NASA #842, N842NA.

The F/A-18A mounted on a pedestal in front of the Lancaster Municipal Stadium. The stadium known as The Hangar is home to the Seattle Mariners farm team the JetHawks.
The Hornet was placed here on 3/4/97. This F/A-18A Hornet was delivered to NASA Dryden in August 1987 for use as a chase plane during research missions.
Rear view. This Hornet was originally the US Navy aircraft #161214 before going to NASA Dryden as #842 in August 1987, later becoming N842NA.
Same shot with PhotoShop used to give the Hornet one last flight.
Exhaust nozzles and tailhook.
Rear side view. The aircraft was prepared and modified for display by a team from Lockheed Martin and Kay & Associates.
