Alaska > BillCath  > Travel > Alaska Cruise, July 2006 > Alaska Train
On Saturday morning we take the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Whittier, and the Diamond Princess for my first cruise.

BillCath > The Train Station in Anchorage - no trains soon, obviously. :)
BillCath > We unload our luggage - Cathy and Bill will return the RV and van, then get back via cab - DO NOT miss the train!
BillCath > Everyone does their share - Liz included.
BillCath > No Sarah, that is not our train.
BillCath > Waiting - the crowd is for the northbound train to Fairbanks.
BillCath > When the northbound leaves, our southbound to Whittier will take its place.
BillCath > They are back with time to spare - all is well.
BillCath > All aboard! Always wanted to say that; I have not been on a train for a long time.
BillCath > We settle in; lots more room than a plane. :)
