THE ARIZONA INFORMANT 40 Years Anniversary Gala Dinner Celebrating four decades of moving forward, embracing change.

Greetings!
On behalf of the Arizona Informant staff and members of the Campbell family I want to take this opportunity to thank every individual and every organization that has supported us over the past 40 years.
Arizona is a unique state with very interesting issues unlike those of any other state in the country. We have strived - and will continue - to deliver the news from an African-American perspective to our readers. Just like it says on the front page of every issue each Wednesday: 98% of our news you won't read in any other news media.
My father Cloves Campbell Sr., and Dr. Charles Campbell purchased the Informant for the outrageous sum of $1 in 1971. Many people thought that investment to be foolish. Forty years later their vision has continued to be seen by thousands of readers around the state and around the country every week.
Tonight, as we celebrate our 40th anniversay, we want to recognize individuals and corporations that have contributed immensely to the history and the growth of the African-American community. Their contributions are highlighted tonight as we pay tribute to not just these individuals but also the organizations that they represent and support.
Your attendance is indeed special and heartwarming. By being here this evening you are contributions to The Arizona Informant Foundation. Your generous donations will help to continue to fund scholarships and other programs that are run by our Foundation. We thank you wholeheartedly for sharing in our mission.
