"MERRY & BRIGHT REMIX"
"I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come around, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys." ~ Charles Dickens
Today is the first day of winter and there are three more days until Christmas.
I did a tad bit of pp with this one. We didn't put up a Christmas tree this year, and I decided against decorating the formal dining and living rooms. I did, however, decorate the kitchen table, which I'll post a pic of soon. For a festive look and to add a little bit of holiday cheer to our foyer, I decided to place Christmas ornaments in a bowl. Adding a shiny bowl of beautiful same colored or multi colored ornaments is an instant and inexepensive way to jazz up a room. When papamugger posted his shot of balls in a bowl a few days ago (12/20/2011), I had already uploaded this photo and thought to myself, "Great minds think alike."
My creative juices were flowing and I metamorphisized it here:
