I recently took part in the Canon(sg) photo marathon competition after much urging from my girlfriend. The competition lasts the whole day and competitors are given 4 themes to shoot on for the day and each theme is given out 3 hours after the other. So, you have 3 hours for each theme.And entries are judge on 1)Creativity,2)use of colors/shadows,3)composition of photo,4)Revelance to theme.The first theme for the day was "faces" and im very proud to say that my photgraph for that category was one of the top 10 shortlisted entries.They were about 640 competitors for that day and for my photo to get into the top 10....hmm......im really very happy about it ;-) The finalists photos for each theme can be viewed at http://www.photomarathon.com.sg/halloffame.html and the shortlsited entries for the finals of the whole competition can be viewed at http://www.photomarathon.com.sg/shortlisted.html#4
This is the photo which got into the finals of the first theme which was "FACES". I set the white balance to "shade" to enhance the brown/gold apperance of the subject. Location of this shot was Bugis street.
