The cottage is located on River Road, about 2 miles south of Yardley, PA, and 13 miles south of New Hope.
Here's a view of the cottage from the front walk, with our 200-year-old farmhouse in the distance.
Once a farm workers' bungalow, the cottage was rebuilt in 1990 in the style of 18th-century Colonial Williamsburg.
There are many inns and bed-and-breakfasts in Bucks County, but ours is one of the few cottages you can rent for a weekend or weeklong getaway.
The cottage's front hall is lit by a brass chandelier.
We took this picture on a glorious fall day, when the trees along the riverbank in front of the cottage were in full color.
The cottage living room, with 9-foot ceilings, raised paneling on the fireplace wall, and views of the Delaware River, is furnished in 18th-century style.
A comfortable chair, a good book, and a crackling fire--what a great way to spend a lazy winter afternoon!
