Snoqualmie Valley flooding (Nov '06)
The worst flood in a decade hit the Snoqualmie Valley on Tues, Nov. 7, 2006 (election day). Here are just a few snapshots I took Tuesday morning in Duvall, where they closed all the roads and bridges leading in or out of town by late afternoon.

 > This Duvall playground next to the river was about 6 feet under water. Note the slide in the right of the picture.
 > An emergency crew in their rescue boat.
 > The whole Snoqualmie Valley floor is like a big lake.
 > The entire area under water here is a city park -- McCormick Park in downtown Duvall. That tiny roof in the distance is a picnic shelter.
 > Lots of people came down to gawk at the overflowing Snoqualmie River.
