Road block.
(5-5-08)
A warm day, a blue sky, light winds, a kayak, and a lake to put it on. Perfect!! Does it get any better?
I knew it was nice out this afternoon and I couldn't stand it so I left work a couple of hours early and headed over to Lake Zorinsky. It was a glorious afternoon. I wish I could do this more often. I really need to win that lottery so I can quit work.
This is up in one of the little branches of the stream that feeds the lake. This was as far as I could get. This log jam was impassable.
Also, I saved some geese from a dog on my way back to the boat ramp. After going under the bridge, I heard some geese honking loudly. I looked over and saw two Canada Geese being chased by something in the water. After getting closer, I saw it was a dog swimming after them. And the owner was unsuccessfully trying to call the dog back to shore. So I paddled over and got between the dog and geese, and then herded the dog back to shore. That dog was intent on getting those geese. And they were heading towards the road that runs along the lake, so who knows where they would have ended up. But I got the dog back to his owner, who I was grateful.
