There is a new horse in the pasture down the road from my folks. This is Diego. His owner arrived with some apples when I was down there trying to get some pictures. And that was lucky for me. The horses were clear on the other side of the pasture, so she went out and got them and lured them to the fence with the apples. We chatted and I got to learn about Diego. He is an 8 year old, red dun roan, Quarter Horse.
I don't think I've ever seen a horse quite this color. He has a red stripe all the way down his back, you can see part of it above his tail. And he has some reddish "tiger" stripes on his front legs. He was a pretty cool looking horse.
