A gallery of daily photos. Some may be good, some may be not so good, but each photo represents something I did, or something that caught my eye, that day.
Mud bath.

The frogs are emerging. When on land, it's impossible to sneak up on these guys as they can feel the vibration in the ground when you walk towards them and all I ever hear is the sound as they plop into the water. But in my kayak, I can get so close that the camera won't focus anymore, and I have to back away.
I almost didn't go out today. I got to Lake Zorinsky and the wind was horrible. Much worse than I thought it would be. But I knew if I could get to the feeder stream it would be protected in there. So I braved the wind and waves, and managed to paddle the mile and a half straight into 20 mph winds and I made it. My shirt was pretty much soaked by the time I got to the stream. But it was nice up there, and I figured the paddle back would be easier. It wasn't though. The kayak likes to go sideways in the wind, so I had a heck of a time keeping it straight when I went back. But I made it. And in spite of the wind, a day on the lake is always a good day.
