ktravers > La Morra is a small but important wine town.

ktravers > We head down the one of the Sentieri del Barolo, one of a series of trails throughout the vineyards of this wine region. Our plan was to trek from La Morra to the town of Barolo itself, but we realize the insanity of that plan pretty quickly, and just do a quick out and back to some vineyards shown here.

ktravers > The views are tremendous, and we play around with the macro function on our camera.

ktravers > A slow stroll along the Sentiero del Barolo.

ktravers > This macro photography attempt unnerves a car of passing Italians, horrified at the sight of Karin splayed out flat on the ground, with Vlad standing over her. It might have been a better picture if we had managed to photograph their faces, instead.

ktravers > We hike back up to La Morra for lunch at Ristorante Belvedere.

ktravers > Our meal at the Belvedere is a treat, from start to finish. We choose the menu degustazione, accompanied by an astonishing wine: 1997 Dardi Le Rose Bussia Barolo from Poderi Colla . A blockbuster!
