Brush.

This is a photo that I took as hiked up Makapu'u lighthouse trail. the tree was very striking though it stood there dried from exposure to the wind, salty air and elements.

Wick.

A green and vibrant cactus-like plant near the lookout.

Solitude.

Though the haze was over the sky as we hiked up the Makapu'u trail, the colors of the water and sky were still vibrant and beautiful as we peered down at the lonely lighthouse sitting there in utter solitude.

A random tree as you reach the top of the Makapu'u trail. It's windy right at this spot which provides a nice cool down from the hot, blazing sun.

Whitewash. This photo was taken from high up of a rock getting slammed by the waves below. If I were lower and closer to the scene I would have done a long exposure but at this height, I just wanted to capture the beautiful blue colors and the spray as it rolled over the rocks.

Lighthouse. Just a random view of the lighthouse half way up the trail...well a little more than half way :) The ocean seems so endless.

This is what the Makapu'u lighthouse looks like from the top of the hike in the gusty wind as I slightly hang my camera on the side of the railing to get an unobstructed view of the lighthouse. The water was so blue that day. What a blessing!

Overcast: I love the shapes the clouds make as they move from the ocean to the land. If you look closely you can see light peeking through the clouds as well as rain on one end and beautiful blue sky on the other. edit
