The Maricopa Council on Black American Affairs (MCBAA) held their annual convocation for Black graduates of the Maricopa Community District's nine area schools. Held at Phoenix College, May 6th, over 300 Black students are set to graduate or received a certificate from one of the MCCD schools. Greetings and words of encouragement were given by MCCD Chancellor Dr. Rufus Glasper, Dr. Anna Solley, President of Phoenix College, Dr. William Crawford, President of the Western Regional Council on Black American Affairs and Vice President at Chandler Gilbert Community College; and MCBAA President Dr. Karen Hardin. Keynote Address: Mr. Ernie Adair, President of ADCORP. Significance of the Gift - History of the Kente Cloth: Dr. Camilla Westernberg, English Faculty, PC.
