Stephen > While hiking down a trail at the Cedar Ridge Nature Preserve near Duncanville, Texas, my wife noticed this lizard trying stay unnoticed. It almost accomplished just that if it were not for the sharp eye of my wife. May 2008
Stephen > This alligator had just come on shore from one of the many marshy, swamp areas at Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. I shot this from a fence that protects the visitors and the alligators. It apparently is a popular place for alligators to sun themselves. November 2007.

Stephen > I took this picture of this buck from a small boat in the Intracoastal Highway in between Aransas National Wildlife Refuge and the outer banks along the Gulf Coast. It obviously had swum to this barrier island which I think is pretty impressive for a deer but apparently they are good swimmers. Texas Gulf Coast Intracoastal Highway, November 2007.
