Lijiang's Old Town area is one of the prettiest places in all of China. Fresh mountain streams run down the sides of the roads and the old world charm, just draws you like a magnet. The whole area is procted under UNESCO World Heritage. If you have the time to visit this part of China, Lijiang is a must see destination. It is also the home of many Chinese ethnic minority groups and the colourful traditional ethnic costumes only add to the picture card images.
