Canon EOS M Video: New York City

http://www.chadsorianophotoblog.com/2012/12/an-epic-thanksgiving-in-new-york-city.html

A 1080p video shot with the Canon EOS M mirrorless digital camera at 29.97fps. Edited with Final Cut Pro 6.0.6 using the hacked Canon E-1 Movie Plugin to transcode to AppleProRes422 and I used Compressor to get a 560mb h264 video file. For lenses, I paired the Canon EOS M using the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS M with the EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS, EF 70-200mm f/4L IS and the Rokinon 8mm T3.8 Fisheye Cine Lens. I also used the Canon EOS M standard prime kit lens, the EF-M 22mm f/2 STM. For audio, I used the Sennheiser MKE400 shotgun microphone. For stability, I used a Manfrotto 701HDV fluid video head with BENRO 3580 tripod legs.
Canon's first mirrorless entry into the digital camera market, the Canon EOS M, spent the 2012 Thanksgiving Holiday in New York City capturing all the sights and sounds of the Big Apple. As my only camera during my trip, I wanted to see the true capability of this Canon Rebel T4i/650D in a Powershot form factor in a real life performance test. The Canon EOS M did not disappoint in image and video quality. Color and sharpness were amazing while the AF and short battery life were horrible. My solution was to manually focus during video and carry spare batteries.
