Birds > oneeyeblink  > Nature > Mostly Twigs
Welcome to Mostly Twigs!
Almost all of these pictures were taken in the wild or semi wild, parks and such. Birds that were going about their business and occasionally being curious about what the hell I was doing on their patch.
Because these shots are taken in the wild and my shooting style is one of hiking, stalking etc. it's sometimes difficult (but fun) to get set up for that perfect shot. Of course serendipity comes into play and is one of the big attractions of this kind of shooting.
I will sort things into sub galleries as soon as I figure out how to do that. In the mean time I will continue to add photos and text.
Enjoy.

Cheers
Bryan

oneeyeblink > Two Fiery-Billed Aracari waiting out the rain in the property behind Noels backyard in San Isidro, Costa Rica.It was a very dark morning. Low clouds, rain, so most birds were looking to stay dry. These two gave up on this perch after about ten minutes. I guess they went looking for dryer digs.
oneeyeblink > Red-tailed Hummingbird, San Isidro, Costa Rica. These are the only hummingbirds in my friend Noel's backyard. They are very aggressive with all the other hummingbirds and have so far kept out any other species.
oneeyeblink > Blue Dacnis in Noels backyard in San Isidro, Costa Rica. It only took me three trips to Costa Rica to finally get a decent shot of one of these guys, not bad.
oneeyeblink > A Bay-headed Tanager at Tapanti National Park in Costa Rica.
All the perching birds were moving through the jungle in huge mixed flocks. There are always birds around but when one of these flocks swings overhead it gets a bit confusing on where to look next.
